Solstice Sunrise is a study of a horse standing in a frozen field in the English village of Shillinglee. The scene was observed by me on the 21st of December, whilst on the way to work, hence the title of the painting. Winner of third prize in the international Fine Art America competition ‘Farm Animals’. Awarded features in six separate galleries on the Fine Art America website. This is an original free-hand painting carried out on a Wacom graphics tablet.
